I was staying in Monte Vista, I did a Google search of what to eat at Del Monte and this place popped up; had decent reviews so we decided to drive over there. Showed up last night, it was Friday night. Place was slammed. We waited a few mins to get greeted, the place looked like it might of been a little short staffed so we decided to grab a seat at the bar. The place was not short staffed at all, I think there could of been some servers in training, but everything was a orchestrated flawlessly! The person who was helping us and looked like he was running the show was Justin. I swear, this guy was like a freaking octopus he was here, he was there he was EVERYWHERE! The rest of the staff was just as great. We could tell Justin had a lot on his plate as he looked to be the manager and most likely the owner. Now the food... The food was really outstanding! I had a sandwich and my buddy had the Locavo burger. We shared a salad (chicken avo) and it didn't disappoint one bit! This little hidden gem in this little tiny town in the middle of nowhere is absolutely worth a stop if you're staying nearby or if you're just passing by. Save your hunger for here, not for Alamosa

I don't max out the stars without reason. There are many great restaurants out there, not many are outstanding. Even though they were short staffed, multi-tasking and probably exhausted, it was still outstanding. -Atmosphere was mellow with a conversational volume. -Everything looked clean and ready (even while short staffed). -Food came to the table quickly (only a few sips of my tea later). -Service was great! My drink never ran out and they checked on us often. -The flavor of the food was fantastic. Green chili pasta with grilled chicken was wonderful! The Double Black And Blue with tender steak... amazing. The Fat Bottom Stack with French fries was so good! An Italian Peach Margarita for good measure (D'agave spirits, Aperol rhubarb bitters, Cointreau Peach and a salted rim)... so nice! For desert, a piece of the Blueberry Swirl Cheesecake. Some people treat their bodies like a temple.... I treat mine like an amusement park! One of the best meals that we have had in a long time (thus the long review). If you have the time, stop in and enjoy a great meal. In a little town. An absolute gem in the valley. *If you can avoid it, don't sit next to the desert case. It was all I could do to have dinner first. It all looked decadent!

Great food. I had the Raspberry chipotle pork tacos and a blueberry cheesecake. The flavors together on the tacos were the best. They had a new entree they were trying that was a stew that my friend said was awesome. There is a full bar here. Restrooms are clean as well as the restaurant. Waitress was always checking on us. Parking is on the street.

Stopped in on our way home, not expecting much, and boy were we happy when we left. Great flavorful food, so fresh. I had the Sante Fe bowl with chicken, and my husband had the Cajun pasta bowl (which was creamy and delicious). Couldn't help myself and had to get a piece of cheesecake for the road. Happy fat girl, we will be back and go the extra drive when coming to Alamosa for this top notch grub!

Busy little local restaurant. Food was really good. Very busy but staff did their best to keep up. They have a pretty cool robot that brings out food.

We recently stopped by the Colorado Grille and Tap House, and it turned out to be a fantastic place for dinner. The atmosphere looked inviting as we drove by, and the food did not disappoint. For appetizers, we ordered the chicken jalapeno bites, spicy fried pickles, and fried cheese bites. All of them were delicious and a hit with both the kids and the adults—definitely worth mentioning! For our main entrees, we tried the 12 oz ribeye steak and the 6 jumbo fried shrimp. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the shrimp were flavorful and well-prepared. The New Mexican burger and the queso burger were also excellent, with great flavor and perfectly cooked patties. The white queso was particularly amazing. The kids enjoyed their chicken strips, which were impressively large, and the fries were seasoned perfectly. Overall, this was an excellent dining experience, and we highly recommend the Colorado Grille and Tap House. It’s a great spot for a delicious meal with something for everyone!

Amazing home cooked food! We traveled from Pagosa Springs and this was the best meal we had in days. We had the street corn pork tacos and the patty melt. Both were fresh and delicious!

Amazing food, atmosphere, and service. This place had everything we were looking for while riding motorcycles through Colorado mountains. Service was top notch and food was amazing and arrived promptly. Hubby and I split chicken strips and fries. Other couple in our group had pork tacos and chicken fried steak. Cool robot delivered the food. Inside atmosphere was hip with cool design. I highly recommend.
